Face analysis · iPhone & Android
Symmi maps 478 landmarks on your face, computes 19 readings in degrees and ratios, and on Face ID iPhones builds a 3D model at true scale. It all runs on your phone. Your photo never leaves it.

Why not just ask a chatbot?
Most face-rating apps upload your photo to a language model and read you its opinion. Ask twice, get two answers. Symmi doesn't rate. It measures.

How it works
On Face ID iPhones, 24 TrueDepth frames become a 1,220-point model of your face at true scale. On other phones, one straight-on photo.
478 landmarks are placed on eyes, brows, nose, lips and jaw. The same model every time, so the numbers can be compared.
19 readings in degrees, percentages and ratios, each scored against an ideal range: canthal tilt, jaw width, midface ratio, symmetry index and more.
Readings are split into bone (fixed) and muscle, fluid and posture (trainable). The plan works on the trainable ones.
What you get

Your face as a rotatable sculpture, skin or wireframe. Fitted from 1,220 tracked points on Face ID iPhones.
Eyes, structure, harmony and skin. Each with your value, the ideal band, and whether it is in range.
One headline score for today, and what you would score with every trainable reading at its ideal. Bone left exactly as it is.
13 left-right markers on your photo. Flip between how others see you and how the mirror does.
Scan again in 7 days. Same method, same points, so the change you see is real.
Analysis runs on the phone. Photos and models stay in the app. Delete everything from Settings.
Then do something about it
Symmi tells you which readings are structure and which are soft tissue, fluid and posture. The plan only promises what training can move.

Three minutes with a stone and oil. Neck first, chin to ear, neck last. Shows your expected change from your own readings.

Two minutes, cloth-wrapped cubes. Under-eye, jaw, cheeks. Puffiness gone before you leave the bathroom.

Three moves a day picked from your scan, all-day habits like balanced chewing and sleeping on your back, a daily check-in streak, and a rescan on Day 7.

Looksmaxxing · 11 min
PSL, mogging, ascending, Chad: the vocabulary of looksmaxxing was built on three defunct forums by young men who believed a face could be ranked. It now runs through TikTok, a $3.99-a-week app and an Olympic press conference. What the words mean, where they came from, and why a measurement is not a grade.
Photos · 7 min
Same faces, same lighting, different focal length: attractiveness ratings jumped from 13% to 51%. Your phone's front camera sits at the wrong end of that range. Here is what that does to your face, and why a measurement has to control for it.
Photos · 6 min
In a classic experiment, people preferred the mirror image of their own face while their friends preferred the true one. That is why photos feel wrong, why the inverted filter feels like a horror film, and why Symmi shows you both views.
FAQ
No. Symmi uses a face landmark model to place 478 points, then computes geometry from those points: angles, distances, ratios. There is no language model writing an opinion. The same photo gives the same numbers.
No. Landmarking, measurement, the 3D model and the skin analysis all run on the phone. Photos and models are stored inside the app and can be deleted from Settings. You don't need an account to scan.
iPhones with Face ID (the TrueDepth camera). Other iPhones and Android phones use the photo scan, which gives the same 478 landmarks and 19 readings.
No app can, and Symmi says so on every reading. Structural readings are marked fixed. The plan targets what moves: muscle tone, fluid, posture and skin.
They are real measurements of the landmarks on your photo, so pose and lighting matter. Symmi warns you when the head is tilted or turned enough to bias a reading, and rescans use the same method so changes are comparable.

One scan. 478 landmarks. 19 readings. A plan for the ones that can move.
